Evidence-Based Nursing: The Research-Practice Connection, Second Edition introduces students to research methods and evidence-based practice (EBP). Five types of research studies, systematic reviews, and evidence-based clinical practice guidelines are described. An exemplar article of each is reprinted along with a commentary about it.
Appraisal of study credibility, clinical significance, and clinical applicability is the focus of the EBP part of the book. Appraisal guides and completed sample appraisals of the exemplar studies are provided. Practical material on organizational EBP and individual use of research evidence round out this text.
